Local Lego Robotics Team
To Represent Canada
at Open European Championship!
at Open European Championship!
The mission
of the FIRST Lego League (FLL) is to get children excited about science and
technology. Competitions are organized
around the world, in which teams are required to build a robot out of Lego
parts. The robots are required to
successfully complete specific missions while running in matches against other
robots. Teams are also required to do a
presentation on a thematic project in which they design an innovative solution
to a real world problem. This year's challenge is to find new ways to prevent
food contamination. A panel of judges, made up of industry professionals, ranks
each team on their robot design and performance, innovative solution and
project work, and core team values.
The
Robo-Raptors team of seven children, aged 9-14, have managed to beat out their
peers in the regional and provincial levels. The kids were only recently
informed that they were selected to be one of two out of 530 teams to represent
Canada at the robotic championships in Germany!
Please support your
team and let the games begin!
